Simona was born in Milan
After the artistic high school, she attends an Illustration Institute.
She begins to work as a freelance for different editions houses and advertising agencies. With a friend she opens in Milan the “Primo Studio”, the collaboration will last four years, carry on afterwords in a solitary way or with casual collaboration.
Mean while, she experiments different pictoric techniques, such as iper-realism, water colors, frescos, etc.
Feeling restricted she start to dedicate herself to murales, fresco and trompe l’oeil, this bring her to travel and collaborate with different artist.
During 1995 she was living in NY where she begin her own creative work, approaching oil on canvas.
Lover of traveling to the Far East, of its old culture and traditions she is fascinated by a humanity that is closer to nature, many inspiration arrived from her journeys in different country, but how she said:
“……If you dedicate yourself to Art, you never disconnect, everything you observe is a stimulation for a new creation, there is a way to look outside that is in connection with the way you are looking the painting… You always have to pay attention because ideas arrives suddenly as a flash in a very unusual context, if you are not aware you risk to loose or forget.
In my case paint is a balancing process, more armony I feel more fluidity happens on the canvas, painting is a way to keep myself happy, well and balance. Is a mix of dedication and pleasure, but you have to give most of your time, or nothing happen…”
Simona like to share an oniric and contemplative feeling, enter in a space of peace and silence, give attention to nature, human beings and their perfect manifestation. Her art has been influenced from Classical studies ,and she loves figurative, but on her base canvas is where you can find abstract and more expressive sign, different media and collage, other big passion of Simona.
From 1997 she lives and works in Ibiza.
